Clocks
I realised this week after sleepily pulling on my watch without looking at it, something I've done too much recently, that the strap had completely split. Being a clock watcher this was something of a disaster for me. Having ridiculously small wrists makes it difficult to find a watch that fits/doesn't need links taken out etc.
It got me thinking about time. Something that made me really sad last year was when my Grany told us she didn't think she needed a watch anymore. For those of you who don't know her she has ALWAYS needed a watch, I have so many memories as a child of her tapping her wrist when we were even a few minutes late. I guess that's alzheimers for you.
I've been counting down to my holiday in Somerset - just over 2 weeks to go. I haven't seen my family for 5 months, one of the longest times ever and it's been hard at times. The amount of time and money it takes to get down there means it's never worthwhile just for a weekend.
The thing that scares me most is that my 11 month old nephew will have forgotten me. My sister assures me that he insists on having my photo on the table when he's eating, and my Mum tells me he points to a picture of me whenever he goes round so I'm sure I have nothing to worry about.
The older I get time seems to pass quicker and quicker. I can't believe I am 27 and I'm sure before I know it I will be 30. There's so much I want to do, travel to Ireland, Scotland, the USA, New Zealand and of course revisit the country I am completely in love with; Italy. I would also love to get published properly. One idea I have been tampering with is picking the best of these blogs when I have been writing it for a year and sending them to a publisher, a year in the life kind of thing.
Well, time ticks on and what will be will be. Cest La vie...
